Washington Oaks Engagement Photos | Best North Florida Sunset Engagement Session with Catherine & Jacob
When Catherine’s mother reached out about her engagement, I was thrilled—and a bit nostalgic, having previously photographed Catherine’s senior photos. Growing up nearby, this session was especially meaningful for me.
After suggesting a few different locations, Catherine and Jacob chose Washington Oaks Garden State Park in Palm Coast for their engagement session. With Catherine’s love for the beach, this location was a perfect fit with a beach closeby. We captured stunning moments under the majestic live oak trees, by the charming gazebo, and in the beautiful rose garden.
While we initially planned to shoot sunset photos at a nearby beach, I suggested an inlet I’d spotted earlier. Catherine and Jacob agreed, and we were rewarded with a breathtaking sunset over the Intracoastal Waterway. Catherine’s white flowy dress and the incredible weather complimented one of the best North Florida sunsets I’ve been graced with.
Washington Oaks Garden State Park offers a picturesque backdrop with its historic live oak trees and charming garden settings. It’s an ideal location for couples looking for a mix of nature and romance in their engagement photos.
The sunset over the Intracoastal Waterway provided a stunning backdrop for Catherine and Jacob’s photos. North Florida sunsets are some of the most beautiful in the region, offering a perfect end to any engagement session.
Ending the session with a bottle of champagne was a fantastic touch. It’s a great way to make the shoot memorable and fun. For your own engagement session, consider bringing props that reflect your personality.
