Chloe and Grant’s destination wedding at The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island was nothing short of magical. Traveling from Chicago, they gathered their closest friends and family for a celebration of love in one of the most picturesque locations in Florida. The Fourth of July weekend provided an added touch of festivity as the couple enjoyed breathtaking fireworks off the beach.
A Perfect Celebration at a North Florida Luxury Resort
The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, one of North Florida’s premier luxury resorts, provided the perfect backdrop for Chloe and Grant’s elegant wedding. The day was beautifully orchestrated by Events by Amanda, whose meticulous planning ensured that every detail was perfectly executed. The stunning florals by Corey with CB Creative complemented the elegant setting, adding a touch of floral magic to Chloe and Grant’s special day.
Even with the heat of the Florida July weather, The Ritz-Carlton’s ceremony site was thoughtfully equipped with Hampton Style umbrellas, providing shade and comfort for the guests.
One of the reasons The Ritz-Carlton is one of my favorite venues to work at is its outstanding flexibility and elegance, rain or shine. The venue offers pristine white hallways with ample natural light, perfect for capturing stunning moments regardless of the weather. This flexibility is crucial, especially in Florida during hurricane season. Although we were fortunate to avoid rain on Chloe and Grant’s wedding day, having the option to move inside for pre-ceremony photos in the air-conditioned comfort made a significant difference for everyone involved—the couple, bridal party, and the photo/video team.
Capturing Memorable Moments
The Ritz-Carlton’s iconic well-lit floor-to-ceiling window hallway provided the perfect backdrop for Chloe and her dad’s first look. For couples considering a first look, this space is ideal, especially if you want to avoid the outdoors until the ceremony or if weather conditions are less than ideal.
Chloe’s dress was a stunning 100% silk gown from Otaduy in Barcelona, Spain. The classic black one-shoulder mid-length dresses worn by her bridesmaids featured a chic bow detail, while Chloe complemented her gown with Jimmy Choo Bow heels. Grant and his groomsmen went for a sleek and modern black-tie look, perfectly complementing the elegant atmosphere of the day.
Chloe’s bouquet was a standout piece, featuring a beautiful statement orchid that added a touch of sophistication to her ensemble. Despite missing golden hour due to cloud coverage, we were treated to the most gorgeous blue hour light, creating stunning and unforgettable images.

The reception featured a classic four-tier cake by The Ritz-Carlton, adorned with minimalistic floral details designed by Corey with CB Creative. The elegant centerpieces matched perfectly, creating a cohesive and beautiful atmosphere for the evening.
