Hannah & Corey: A Romantic Couple Session in Central Park, NYC

Hannah and Corey, the sweetest husband and wife photography duo from Atlanta, Georgia, are also some of my sweet friends. I first met them years ago when they were just dating, modeling for a Jeremy Chou workshop I attended. Since then, I’ve watched their love story unfold, and I was thrilled to photograph them in New York City one October.

Our session took place in Central Park while we were all in town for New York Bridal Fashion Week. I wanted to capture a couple in the park, and Hannah and Corey were the perfect pair. We started with a rowboat ride from the Boathouse, where they moved naturally across the lake. From there, we photographed on the iconic Bow Bridge, capturing classic Central Park views, and finished at the 72nd Street subway station to add an urban twist to the session.

Why Central Park is Perfect for Couple Photography

Central Park is a favorite location for couple shoots because it offers a mix of natural scenery and iconic landmarks. From the Bow Bridge to the Boathouse and the winding paths around the lake, there are endless opportunities for beautiful, timeless images.

Tips for Planning a Central Park Couple Shoot

If you’re planning a couple session in New York City, here are a few tips to make the most of it:

  • Time your session well: Early mornings or golden hour provide soft, flattering light.

  • Mix natural and urban locations: Including spots like Bow Bridge and nearby city areas adds variety to your gallery.

  • Be yourselves: Natural interactions and genuine moments make for the best photos.

  • Include activities: A boat ride, stroll, or other small details create authentic movement and emotion.

Capturing Connections That Matter

Photographing Hannah and Corey reminded me why I love couple shoots so much. Every glance, laugh, and gesture tells a story, and capturing those moments in Central Park makes them even more special.

If you’re looking for a Central Park photographer, an NYC couple shoot, or a unique New York City photography session, I’d love to help you capture your story. Whether it’s a romantic stroll, a rowboat ride, or a subway backdrop, your connection deserves to be beautifully preserved.
