Central Park bridal shoot: early morning magic at Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge
A dreamy NYC shoot with Monica Rivera
There's something utterly magical about Central Park in the early morning light. Recently, I had the pleasure of conducting a bridal editorial shoot with the stunning Monica Rivera. We chose two iconic locations: Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge.
If you're considering a bridal shoot, engagement session, or any professional photography, arriving early is key. Our day started at 7 am, and the serene, almost empty terrace gave us a peaceful break from the city's usual hustle and bustle.
Early morning magic at Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge
Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge are quintessential spots for any Central Park photo session. The architectural beauty of Bethesda Terrace, with its intricate carvings and timeless design, provides a rich backdrop that contrasts beautifully with the natural surroundings. Bow Bridge, with its sweeping views and elegant design, adds a touch of romance to every shot.
The early morning light bathes these locations in a soft, golden glow that enhances every photograph.
The perfect gown and florals
For this shoot, we had the most gorgeous puff sleeve mini wedding gown with a train from Dalliance Gowns. The unique design of the gown—with its delicate fabric and flowing train—was perfect for capturing both elegance and a touch of whimsy.
The florals were nothing short of breathtaking, thanks to Julian from Nava Floral. Julian and I had known each other through social media for some time, but this was our first in-person collaboration. His floral arrangements were a work of art, featuring shades of purple, indigo, and peach. The bouquet he created was beyond anything I could have imagined—every detail was perfect. Giving him full creative freedom truly made magic.
A chic and confident look at Naumburg Bandshell
In addition to the dreamy gown, we also shot in a stunning white pantsuit at the Naumburg Bandshell. This location provided a more androgynous and editorial vibe, perfect for showcasing the versatility of bridal fashion.
Not every bride needs to wear a traditional ballgown or mini dress; a chic pantsuit can be equally stunning and exudes confidence and style.
Central Park: A timeless location for every season
Central Park is an ideal location for photos any time of the year. Whether it's the vibrant colors of fall, the serene snow-covered landscapes of winter, the blooming flowers of spring, or the lush greenery of summer, the park offers endless opportunities for stunning photographs.
