Rachel and Mike's Earth Day Wedding at St. Augustine's Fountain of Youth

As Earth Day approaches, it's a perfect time to celebrate love celebrated amongst nature's beauty. Rachel and Mike's wedding at Ponce De Leon's Fountain of Youth venue is a testament to this harmony.

Having previously photographed Rachel's sister-in-law's wedding at The Atrium at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens, I was thrilled to capture another memorable moment alongside Events by Amanda who masterfully orchestrated both occasions.

Outdoor settings, adorned with DIY touches, set the stage for both weddings. Rachel and Mike's celebration, in particular, was a vibrant affair, with a live band ensuring the festivities danced on into the night.

Food played a central role, with a food truck from Late Risers dishing out delights alongside homemade Mediterranean fare and decadent desserts crafted by a close family friend. To sweeten the experience further, treats like Hyppo Popsicles and a cotton candy machine added a sweet touch to the festivities.

Ethereal Gardens, Escondido California Wedding- Bill and Kelly Remley

The Remley’s!

With The Remley’s first anniversary coming up, and a little one on the way, I figured it was about time I blog their gorgeous Southern California wedding that I had the ultimate privilege to fly out for. Words can’t even express what a gorgeous day this was, and how grateful I am to have been able to travel cross country for their epic wedding weekend.

We kicked the festivities off with the most beautiful crisp California evening in Temecula wine country for their intimate welcome party. The most incredible authentic tacos were served, yard games were played, and all the laughs were captured, along with a few couple photos.

The day of the wedding, we took detail photos in Kelly’s hotel room, before heading over to the venue. Kelly’s favorite color, blue, was sprinkled throughout her details, florals, and linens.

The reception consisted of amazing food by Trademark Venues, at Ethereal Gardens, ice cream flown in from Jacksonville, FL, and my personal favorite, 7 Leaves Boba Tea! There was never a dull moment on the dance floor, proving that Bill and Kelly’s families truly knew how to throw a party.

It’s safe to say every detail was carefully curated with the help of Mia, from Intertwined Events, along with the many other talented vendors listed below. None of this could have been possible without them!

A Glimpse into NYBFW at Horizon Bridal Market

My First Experience at NYBFW-Horizon Bridal Market

Stepping into the world of bridal fashion at the NYBFW Horizon Bridal Market was nothing short of amazing. Held at Daylight Studio in Hudson Yards, New York, this event was a convergence of creativity, and talent. My primary aim was to photograph the stunning designs of Rebecca Schoneveld, but what unfolded was an unforgettable journey meeting a plethora of other exceptional designers.

In the bustling world of bridal fashion, there are designers who go beyond creating beautiful gowns. Rebecca Schoneveld is one such visionary whose work not only captivates the eye but also speaks volumes about inclusivity and empowerment in the industry. It was her unwavering commitment to promoting inclusivity that drew me into her work as a designer. In an industry often characterized by traditional standards, Rebecca stands out as a beacon of change. From size-inclusive designs to a range of skin tone-friendly shades, Rebecca's collections are a testament to her belief that every bride deserves to feel beautiful and represented on her special day.

Thank you again for having me.

A Colorado Springs Elopement at Garden of the Gods- Krystal and Nick Sangiamo

The Sangiamo’s!

In September of 2023, we embarked on our trip from Jacksonville, Florida to Colorado Springs, eager to photograph Krystal and Nick's breathtaking destination elopement. Our first day took us to Denver, where we explored Rocky Mountain National Park and the charming town of Estes Park. But the true adventure began when we arrived in Colorado Springs and settled into the cozy Airbnb known as The Pine House Co, alongside Krystal, Nick, and Dan Florez, the talented videographer capturing every moment.

Krystal's DIY bouquet and Nick's floral pocket square added a personal touch to their attire, complimented by Nick's wood and leather bow tie from MONEJ. Their vow books from Papier and Design, Krystal's ring from Brilliant Earth, Nick's ring from Elwood Crafts, and their invitation suite, crafted by The Scripted Shin Dig, completed their ensemble and details for their intimate elopement ahead.

The morning of the ceremony dawned with Krystal and Nick enjoying coffee together as the sun rose. An intimate first look outside the Airbnb set the tone for the day, with me by Krystal's side as she got ready. Our day continued to the stunning Paint Mines Interpretive Park near in El Paso County, followed by a pit stop at In-N-Out for a quick lunch.

From there, we made it to Garden of the Gods for their private ceremony including a ring exchange, and heartfelt vows. Right as the sun was setting, we hiked up Siamese Twins Trail where Krystal and Nick shared their first dance under the glow of lantern lights to “See the World” by CAAMP. It truly was the perfect backdrop to complete the day.

The next morning, we all went our separate ways, with Krystal and Nick completing their 18 day cross country roadtrip and honeymoon of a lifetime.

Witnessing their journey from colleagues to close friends and now partners in both life, and business was truly a full circle moment for me. As we captured their laughter, tears, and tender moments amongst the most breathtaking views, I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible path that led us to this day.

Happy Lunar New Year!

Happy Lunar New Year! 🧧🏮

As a transracial adoptee, navigating my identity has been a complex journey. I've struggled with not feeling quite Chinese enough, but also not quite American enough. This Lunar New Year marks a fresh start in honoring my cultural roots and doing more to establish meaningful traditions unique to my upbringing.

Recently I've found a way to connect with my heritage in a more tangible way. My mom found souvenirs that she brought back from China when she adopted me. One of most sentimental to me is a silver baby bracelet with two little bells. Whether the bracelet was left with me by my birth family or given to me by the orphanage is unknown, but it will forever be a symbol of health, good fortune, and prosperity.

Regardless of if you celebrate, I encourage you to take the day to spend time with loved ones, experience gratitude, welcome new beginnings and in my case, indulge in all the takeout dim sum until I can learn how to make my own.

Alexandra and Beau- A Casa Marina Hotel Wedding in Jacksonville Beach, Florida

Alexandra and Beau tied the knot at the picturesque Casa Marina in Jax Beach this past November surrounded by their closest friends and family, and the perfect weather making their day nothing short of amazing!

Tia with Coastal Coordinating orchestrated every detail with intention, ensuring that every moment was filled with love and meaning. From the stunning florals by Malia Floral Design to the tunes spun by Y Entertainment, every aspect of the day was thoughtfully curated.

Hair and makeup team by Paulina Perez, worked their magic on Alexandra, creating a look that was both timeless and radiant. And let's not forget about the gorgeous Martina Liana dress from Love Bridal Boutique that Alexandra wore as she walked down the aisle, looking every bit the vision of a bride.

But the real showstopper? That title goes to Gus, their beloved pug, who stole hearts as the perfect dog of honor, wagging his tail in celebration of his humans' love.

As the day turned into evening, Alexandra surprised everyone with a fun twist. She changed into a super chic and dance-friendly dress, paired with sparkly Betsy Johnson sneakers. Ready to hit the dance floor in style, she and Beau embraced the night with joy and laughter.

Capturing every moment was the talented Jax Video Lee, ensuring that these memories will be cherished for a lifetime. And of course, no celebration is complete without a delicious cake from Creme de la Cocoa, adding a sweet touch to an already unforgettable day.

Alexandra and Beau's wedding was a true reflection of their love – filled with laughter, joy, and surrounded by those who mean the most. Here's to a lifetime of happiness for this beautiful couple!

Jacksonville Beach Family Session- Kjellman Family

After a reschedule due to all the rainy weather we had in Jacksonville, The Kjellman’s and I were finally able to schedule their family photos just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. Even with windy weather and cloudy skies, we had the most gorgeous lighting, the sky was our own personal soft box!

I know I say this time and time again, but it truly is such an honor capturing such intimate and special moments for families, and with the holidays among us, I tend to feel extra sentimental about it.

I look forward to all the future photoshoots with baby Georgia, she rocked her first one in front of the camera!

A Long Island, New York Engagement Session in Greenport- Kevin and Joanna

Kevin and Joanna quickly have become fast friends. I met them through a past couple’s wedidng that I photographed in Greenport. After many reschedules due to rain or wind, we finally landed on the perfect date in Greenport where we walked around Mitchell Park. This is where Kevin had proposed to Joanna about a year ago. We ended their session at sunset at 67 steps, and couldn’t have asked for a better sunset!

I can’t wait for their wedding at A Lure Chowder House and Oysteria in Southold, NY this upcoming June!

An Omni Wedding at Walker's Landing on Amelia Island- Katie and Jonathon

The Elliot's!

When I met Katie and Jonathon at their engagement session, they expressed the importance of having fun while still being their authentic selves at their wedding. Their playful personalities were the forefront of their day, and I couldn't be happier to share these snippets.

Their closest friends and family traveled from North Carolina to the coast of Amelia Island for an intimate summer ceremony.

Lulu Events helped make this day come to life and allowed their guests to enjoy a gorgeous sunset view on the deck of Walker's Landing

I am so beyond excited for their wedding at the beautiful Casa Marina Hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Jacksonville Beach, FL.

A Long Island Lifestyle and Wedding Photographer- A day trip to the Hamptons

While in New York for New York Bridal Fashion Week, I took a trip out to Long Island for two engagement sessions. On one of the few days I had off, I took the drive with one of my closest friend’s and we took some photos in none other than The Hamptons.

I grew up visiting my grandma and aunts and uncles on the South Fork of Long Island, so it was the perfect way to end a relaxing trip by being refreshed by the fresh ocean air, and take in the Fall weather. It very much reminded me of “The Summer I turned Pretty.” Everything about the Hamptons screams that show to me, and it’s one that I find myself anxiously awaiting the next season for.

Alondra Vega- Fine art Boudoir Photography in Jacksonville, FL at The Space Between

When Alondra reached out to me about doing her boudoir photos, I knew right away we had to shoot at The Space Between in Jacksonville, FL. It was the most amazing light and airy space for what we envisioned and Destiny with Let Destiny Design florals made the perfect floral arrangements for this setup. It’s always such an honor to be asked by another photographer to photograph them, and I felt incredibly honored to be the one to do so.

Alex and Olivia- A Gran Centurions Wedding in Clark, New Jersey

I met Olivia through a past bride who was a bridesmaid in her wedding. When she reached out to me and asked if I traveled to New Jersey, I was thrilled. As luck would have it, I happened to be in New Jersey for another wedding in Mount Vernon.

Hailing all the way from the beautiful islands of Hawaii, Alex and Olivia chose to exchange their vows in the heart of New Jersey. The Gran Centurions, with its elegant charm and breathtaking setting, provided the perfect backdrop for this momentous occasion.

It is so evident the love that these two share, and the incredible support they have from their closest friends and family who traveled from all over the country to celebrate their testament of love for eachother. To this day, it is one of my favorite receptions with guests who stayed glued to the dance floor.

Brittany and Kevin Grebe - An in home maternity session and sunset session in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL.

Welcoming a new life into the world is a momentous occasion filled with anticipation, joy, and a whole lot of love. For Brittany and Kevin, this journey began with an in-home maternity session in their baby girl Georgia's nursery, culminating in a breathtaking sunset shoot at their family beach house in Ponte Vedra Beach. The story of this beautiful couple's journey, from the quiet moments of preparation to the awe-inspiring beauty of their coastal haven, is one that captures the essence of new beginnings.

The nursery, bathed in soft hues of pastel pink and calming neutrals, was a testament to the love and care Brittany and Kevin had poured into preparing for their little one's arrival. The room was adorned with delicate details with personal touches like hand painted pieces of art by Brittany’s talented and creative mom, to Minnie Mouse shaped pillows to show Brittany’s love for Disney.

On July 18, 2023 Baby Georgia officially made her debut to this world, and I can’t wait to meet her at their upcoming newborn session. More photos to come!
